What is the Belly Bandit?
The Belly Bandit is a post-pregnancy abdominal wrap which is seamless 9" elastic band designed to apply pressure to the abdominal area after delivery.
How does it work if I have a normal delivery?
The Belly Bandit supports a woman's body after a vaginal delivery. The garment acts to retract the body by drawing in stretched muscles and providing structure to the back and general abdominal area. Reducing stress in these areas enhances the body's ability to return to its pre-pregnancy alignment and shape. Also the Belly Bandit can offer support to the abdominal wall as the muscles retract to their pre-pregnancy position.
How does it work if I have a Cesarean delivery?
Usually you will receive an abdominal binder from the hospital immediately after a Cesarean birth. The binder is usually worn during the time that you are in hospital. However what happens when you leave hospital and you are strongly advised not to lift anything over 10 pounds to allow the incision area to heal properly? The Belly Bandit can protect the incision area, keeps the abdomen flat on either side of the incision to reduce the severity of scarring, and provides light compression to reduce fluid accumulation.

I just ordered my second Belly Bandit today - I will be going from a Large to a Medium. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy last Monday. Everyone said I should "rest". I was up and about and haven't stopped moving since the day after surgery. I credit it to a great surgeon and the awesome Belly Bandit!
I told my doctor about the Belly Bandit and she said she asked the new Hockaday Women's Center at St Lukes to stock up on them, but they said they were too expensive. I said it was worth every penny and that I was buying a second one. Maybe you all can be more persuasive. I even found it related to gall bladder surgery. My sister-in-law had that surgery yesterday, I told her about the Belly Bandit and she went to a shop in Denver to get one.

I wanted to say that I love the belly bandit and have been wearing since having twins 4 weeks ago. I just wanted to offer some suggestions from someone who was enormous. I am into the small now but I find that the width of the band appears to be smaller than both the medium and the large. I did have twins so that may be the issue but I think it would be beneficial to make the band a little bigger in width. I find that either the band covers the bottom of my belly and if it does that it pushes my back fat out or I cover my back up to my bra and my stomach hangs out.
Another thing I thought of but may not be realistic is to charge more but offer all the sizes or a combination of sizes like I M/L or something. I have found that I had a large and was out of that in a week then into a medium and in that for 2 weeks and now into a small.
Anyway, I love your product and have had success with it but thought I would send some comments. Thanks for your time!

I wanted to tell you how much I love my Belly Bandit. I only wish I had known about this with my previous two children. I am 42 and just had my third child (wonderful surprise!). My son was born 42 weeks with lots of concern from doctors about his size and my belly size (not my weight) due too extra amniotic fluid. I consistently heard from my friends and family that I was all baby. I was so concerned that at my age I would never be able to undo the stretching that my body had endured during this pregnancy. It took several months to years to regain my body and confidence from my previous pregnancies. He was born 9 lbs 15 oz natural and unmedicated. So he left me with quite a pooch! I had read about the bandit and sent my father to our local supplier to pick it up for me two days after I delivered.
The immediate support was FANTASTIC! My back felt completely supported and having the compression on my belly felt like it was working that first night. I was skeptical so I wouldn't even look in a mirror though I knew I felt serious change taking place. When I finally looked at my belly after three days, I really couldn't believe my eyes (nor could my family!). After four weeks, the results were remarkable - I was smaller than before I was pregnant! I had a hourglass figure with a flat stomach again and I was eating more than ever so I could breastfeed. People couldn't believe I had a baby 4 weeks ago. At six weeks postpartum I returned to the store to buy the smaller size Belly Bandit but instead choose to try the Mother Tucker tank. Let me just say the first words out of my mouth were 'WOW - I can't believe how good this feels! It's unbelievable - LOOK AT THIS! LOOK AT ME!' (the saleswoman just kept smiling at me as I raved on). The compression was perfect and it gave me an instant boost of confidence - I was ready to go out and show off my new body (without having to wear a loose top). It is so comfortable to wear alone and easy to breastfeed in as well. I now switch between the Belly Bandit and Mother Tucker depending on the amount of support I want.

We tend to put ourselves at the bottom of the list as mothers with newborns. I just have to tell you how fantastic your product is! EVERYONE that is going to have a baby NEEDS to buy one or two! I could not believe how fast my tummy shrunk down! Within 2 days of having my daughter I went from a size medium band to a small band!And within a week I had lost 30 of my 40 lbs. I gained!
My husband actually told me he thinks my stomach is flatter now then it was when I got pregnant! Our little guy was born on Friday last week and all is well. I just had to write you to say thank you for the Belly Bandit. It was amazing because I started wearing it the day after the c section and I could barely velcro it around my still big belly and now, only 6 days later I can velcro it all the way to the other side. Just wanted to write an email and let you know what a FABULOUS product you are selling! People still can't believe I had a baby six weeks ago! I put the Belly Bandit on the day after I gave birth and wore for the first six weeks. I think it contributed to a reduction in swelling and supported my weak stomach muscles. I used the Belly Bandit after my second c-section. And I love this product. Not only did it help in my over all recovery, it gave me much needed support in getting in-and-out of bed, moving about and even it helped me feel comfortable and supported in nursing the baby. the Belly Bandit helped the swelling (from my c-section) to go down much faster than it did with my first child (in which i did not have the Belly Bandit). It helped my waist-line to return much faster.
